The City of Szeged is the third largest city in Hungary with 170.000 inhabitants. It is located in the southwest of the country, near the tripoint of Hungary, Romania and Serbia. Budapest, the capital of Hungary, is only 105 milesaway. Szeged is also known as the “sunshine city”.

Szeged is located on the mouth of the Mures River, where it goes into the Tisza River, a quite wide and historically important river for the city and the trade.
